Shoppers of the Day

Saturday's East Street highlights are Louisa and Mike...

They're here in East Street looking for unique stuff - vintage or retro - and high street brands at awesome prices.

Mike's a 25 year old tree surgeon and Louisa's a 23 year old admin officer, here in Southampton. Their local knowledge brings them here to East Street.

Says Mike, "There's a special pleasure in finding a hidden gem", and they're always keen to tell their friends of their successes.

Pleased to see you both - do come back soon!!!

Especially after two random blokes photo bombed her photo in East Street!

Spotted on East Street...

So as we all know East Street really is a great place to shop and guess who we spotted there today?

Local artist Mark Khan aka Genesis KHAN

Mark was spotted leaving Cancer Research UK where he said he'd been looking for good clobber, well priced items in excellent condition.
Mark is currently exhibiting upstairs at Victor Hugo Patisserie over 250 people attended the opening night of his exhibition in November.
If you want to look at Genesis KHAN exhibition then it is available to view Monday to Saturday 9 am to 7pm.

Speciality Shop of the Week

Hobgoblin Music

Hobgoblin Music has been open in East Street for about eight months now. This specialist folk & acoustic musical instrument shop is a great destination shop for thousands of South coast musicians for the expert advice they offer & the huge range of amazing instruments available.

Please feel free to try anything! Is the motto and with such a range available from arabic ouds to chinese harps - what should one choose to try first?

When I visited manager Drew played me a beautiful tune on the Chinese Harp - what a beautiful sound it makes. The shop is full of so many different instruments and between them Drew and Sam can play them all - they are not just really friendly but really knowledgeable too!

We definitely think Hobgoblin deserves to be Speciality Shop of the Week - if you haven't been in then you simply must - what a great shop!
